Anouchka Sooriamoorthy
Philosopher
After growing up in Mauritius, she lived in Paris where she studied at La Sorbonne University until she obtained a PhD. She began her professional experience at the newspaper Le Monde, and after at the publishing house Gallimard. She then lived for sixteen years in Dubai, a city she describes as a laboratory of globalization. She taught philosophy while setting up her own business as a philosophy speaker and corporate trainer.
In July 2023, she moved back to her native island to devote herself entirely to developing philosophy in the workplace and to writing. Through her philosophical talks and workshops in companies, she shares philosophical thinking, theories and tools, she provides innovative insights into professional issues, she encourages people to think constructively, sincerely and usefully.
She had the opportunity to work with some well-known companies in Dubai (Axa, Accenture, Suez, Alstom, DHL, Commercial Bank of Dubai) and in Mauritius (IBL Together, Rogers, ENL, Medine).

Anousha Mohon

Anousha is a passionate MC, host, and speaker with a talent for captivating audiences. She has brought her energy and expertise to events like the Pension Fund Africa Conference (2022 & 2023), the Global Defi Investment Summit (2021), and TEDx Perth (Curator & Moderator, 2023).
Since 2019, she has been a TED Circle Host in Mauritius, organising and facilitating numerous events. As a strong believer in the power of storytelling, she participated in a storytelling course specifically designed for South Asian Women in Perth (2023).
Her experience extends beyond conferences and summits. She has held audiences captive as the MC and Host for various events at Hyatt Regency Perth Hotel, from Christmas parties to team-building activities for over 100 employees. Additionally, she has honed her presentation skills by training and conducting onboarding orientations at the hotel.
Whether igniting discussions at a conference or guiding a team through training, she thrives on creating engaging and impactful experiences.

Asha Sumputh

Born and raised in Mauritius, a paradise in the Indian Ocean. She grew up in a cosmopolitan and English and French speaking island, where she studied in a very efficient educational system based on the British model. She is completely bilingual in English and French and also speaks Hindi, Mauritian creole and some Italian.
Graduated from the prestigious universities of Cambridge and Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in the fields of economics and finance. She began her career as a journalist at Canal Plus in France. Today, she is an entrepreneur, journalist and television content producer.
You can follow her programs “Sustainable Energy” on CNBC worldwide, and “Business Africa & Initiative Africa” on major international channels in several countries in Europe and Africa for which she is also the producer. Both in French and English, they broadcast in around fifty countries highlighting the economic and political news of the African continent. She is the founder and news editor of the bilingual pan-African news media africa-on-air.com.
Besides economic and finance, she usually covers topics closely related to sustainability, environment, politics, innovation, education and entrepreneurship.
Alongside her activities as a journalist, she also had the opportunity to teach at the National School of Administration (ENA) at EM Strasbourg, at the University Center for Journalism Education (CUEJ) and at the Sorbonne University.
Kris Lutchmayah

Kris Lutchmayah is a digital marketer, property manager, actor, model, and vlogger based in Mauritius. He was born and raised in Birmingham, UK, where he graduated from Solihull College and University Centre with a degree in business and IT. He also holds a diploma in health and social care, as he comes from a family with a strong medical background.
He got into pub management and did so for several years in the UK before moving to Mauritius 10 years ago to reconnect with his Mauritian roots and open his own business. He has a diverse and dynamic professional background, spanning various industries and roles.
He currently offers digital marketing services, and has clients in Mauritius as well as in the UK, assisting businesses grow and succeed online.
Kris is also passionate about the entertainment industry and has been involved in various projects as an actor and model. He has appeared in commercials, short films, and photo shoots, showcasing his talent and charisma. He also does voice-over work for different types of media.
He is active on social media, where he goes by the name Just Kris, and shares his experiences and insights on living in Mauritius, veganism, and other topics. He enjoys exploring the outdoors and connecting with nature through hiking and swimming. He also loves spending time with his friends and family, discovering new places, and trying out delicious dishes. He is a proud Mauritian/British who embraces the island’s culture, beauty, and hospitality. He is always eager to learn new things and challenge himself in his personal and professional endeavors.
Meling Balloo
MC • Host
Meling is a versatile and bilingual media personality who has been passionate about the audiovisual world since her childhood. She started her career as a co-host of a kids’ show on one of the stations of the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation, Kool FM, at the age of 12, and later pursued her studies in Broadcast and Media Communication in Paris. There, she hosted shows and collaborated with a few production companies to create content for major French channels.
After returning to her home country, Meling explored various roles in the media industry, such as a mobile journalist, a voice-over artist, and a contributor to popular online shows.
She also hosted a weekly FinTech news magazine and several shows on local television and radio, covering topics from arts and culture to trends and business. Currently, she continues to expand her hosting repertoire, presenting ‘Au Féminin’, as well as ‘Pop Culture’ and ‘L’Entrevue Pop’ on Kool FM.
In addition to her on-screen and on-air presence, Meling is an experienced emcee and moderator who has hosted high-profile corporate events for local and international clients. She has worked with esteemed organizations such as The State Bank of Mauritius, Wesgro, The European Union, Mauritius Africa FinTech Hub, Sofitel, Institut Français de Maurice, among others.
Meling is fluent in English and French, and has the ability to adapt to various event styles, sizes, and objectives. She embodies the spirit of impactful storytelling and audience connection.
